Pamela Mark Burke
Pamela Mark Burke is a Florida native and civil trial lawyer who received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and graduated with high honors from Florida State University College of Law. At FSU, Pam was a member of Law Review, the Order of the Coif, the Order of the Barristers, and Moot Court. She and her Moot Court partner also won first place in the National Starr Insurance Law Moot Court Competition held in Hartford, Connecticut.
Like other members of Paul and Perkins, P.A., Pam spent the first several years of her practice primarily defending insurance companies and their insureds. Since developing a niche in medical malpractice and insurance coverage litigation, however, Pam has spent the overwhelming majority of her professional career representing families and individuals who have endured catastrophic injuries and losses at the hands of others. She earned her AV peer -review rating, a testament to her professional and ethical standards, in 2002.
After practicing 19 years in Central Florida (five of those with David A. Paul), Pam followed her dream and relocated to the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. Although she is often in the Orlando office, part of her practice is now done remotely from Asheville.
When she has the time, Pam enjoys writing and has also taught several semesters at a local college in Asheville. After years of medical malpractice litigation, she is passionate about the disclosure of unexpected outcomes by hospitals and physicians and has done some consulting work in that area.
